Ezequiel Pini (Six N. Five)

"My practice concerns the relativity of time and its representation, the boundaries between the real and the artificial, and our behaviors in the face of both as humans. I am also interested in exploring our daily realities as a society, the role of stress, excesses, and how we live with them."

  1. Six N. Five is the artistic name of Ezequiel Pini, the award-winning Argentinian designer and digital artist based in Barcelona. The name represents the time 6:05, which for Ezequiel symbolised a new phase of the day, transitioning from his regular job to working on his personal creative endeavors.

  2. Ezequiel describes Six N. Five style as “subtle, soft, conceptual, graphical, mostly pastel, and sometimes provocative”.

  3. It is possible to enter one of the signature Six N. Five interiors, quite literally. Ezequiel was approached by the founders of Moco Museum (Amsterdam and Barcelona), with a commission to bring a digital space of his choice into the physical world. He accepted this unique opportunity, and now Barcelona’s Moco Museum concept shop with its subtle pink hues and curved lines is a must-see for arqitecture and design lovers.

  4. In his exhibitions, Ezequiel adeptly manipulates the space and plays with depth by extending the physical world through digital imagery or vice versa. He often completes digital installations with physical objects, mostly futuristic chairs of his own design. Interplay of tangible and virtual is the main motive behind his biggest to date solo show ‘Memories of tomorrow’ at the Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai.

  5. The “Flow” was the only digital artwork to be included into Sotheby’s marquee 50th anniversary auction alongside with paintings, sculptures and installations Richter, Calder, Lichtenstein, Gormley, Kusama, Nara to name just a few.
